syncreon & JLR Community Social Responsibility Project: 25th & 26th July
On Wednesday, July 25th, 2018, Jaguar Land Rover and syncreon began work on a collaborative Corporate Social Responsibility Project. The goal of this project was to tidy up Webster Way Woods, an area of woodland located just 2.5 miles away from the JLR Global Packshop in Minworth, UK. Volunteers each donated between 7-14 hours over the course of two days to clean up and restore the area. Employees from syncreon Minworth got involved to support JLR’s efforts.
This project was also carried out in conjunction with the local charity Friends of Jones Wood, a group of volunteers who look after the woodland areas of Minworth so they can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Volunteers participated in a variety of tasks, including: removing vegetation from around the fence line, creating a pathway from the public footpath into the wooded area, cutting away low hanging branches to ease access and piling waste into designated areas. JLR and syncreon’s teams worked long and hard to ensure that the woodland is safe and accessible for the local community.
As a result of volunteers’ hard work, by the end of the day on Thursday, June 26th, Webster Way Woods was completely revitalised! Upon the project’s completion, Friends of Jones Wood’s Chairman, Stuart Moffat, delivered a message of thanks on behalf of the charity and the community. This project benefits local residents and schools by creating an outdoor area for locals to enjoy and visit, and allowed syncreon Minworth employees to enjoy two days in the sunshine working towards a worthy cause!
Well done to both syncreon Minworth and the Jaguar Land Rover teams for transforming Webster Way Woods back into a place for community functions and activities!
