Press Release: syncreon COVID-19 Statement
At syncreon, the health and safety of our employees is paramount. We have been, and continue to be, fully committed to the implementation of appropriate hygienic precautions and operating within government directives at all our locations.
The impact of the virus is being felt across the globe, and sadly our employees and their family members are not excluded. We extend our sincerest consideration and sympathies to those who have been impacted by COVID-19.
On March 31, 2020 the Mexican government issued a decree that requires the suspension of operations that are not essential activities. Per the government’s decree and after taking legal advice, we determined that our facility in Ciudad Juárez is engaged in essential business activities as we are servicing the financial services industry as defined by the March 31, 2020 decree. We operated on this basis and in mid-April, because of increasing concerns of COVID-19, syncreon voluntarily shut down operations at the facility to carry out additional mitigation efforts. The facility remains voluntarily shut down.
syncreon continues to take diligent mitigation precautions within all of our facilities across the globe and prioritize the safety of our associates. We follow national, state and local government directives, as well as the guidelines set forth by the CDC and ECDC. In addition, we have formal, global response plans in place with specific, defined steps and processes to be followed, as necessary.
