Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association Award for Carlisle Talent Academy
Following the successful launch of our specialized training opportunity for people with disabilities (Talent Academy), we were delighted to have been selected for the 2018 Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association’s Business Award for New Initiatives.
This award is presented to a Pennsylvania employer who has demonstrated achievement in recruiting, hiring and retaining people with disabilities. syncreon was nominated by Tracie Mallie, Harrisburg Office of Vocational Rehabilition District Administrator.
The award was presented during the PRA conference, which was held on April 18, 2019. Kelly Reed, Senior HR Generalist, and April Ehrhart, HR Manager, were on hand to accept the award on behalf of syncreon and our program participants, past, present and future. Kelly Reed was also honored to participate as a panelist in the 2nd Annual Dr. Ralph Pacinelli Policy Forum, which discussed various disability in employment related topics.
To date, our Talent Academy has produced 11 graduates, most of whom we’ve retained in our workforce. We presently have a cohort running with 5 participants. It is our great privilege and pleasure to continue our mission of furthering employment opportunities for peoples with disabilities.
